The New Jam + Cheese Sandwich!

Is there anything better than a fully loaded, flavorful, melted cheese sandwich? We all know how to make a grilled cheese. And we definitely have mastered the ever so popular, peanut butter and jelly. But why stop there, why not, combine the gooey hot cheese with the fruity jam, now that is a sandwich. Throw some toppings in the middle, smash it together, and you will be wishing you made seconds.

Oregon Growers Sandwich 2

Oregon Growers Strawberry Jam with Goat Cheese & Arugula on Sourdough

2 slices of sourdough bread

2 tablespoons of Oregon Growers Strawberry Jam

1 teaspoon of olive oil

2 ounces of hard goat cheese

handful of arugula leaves, shredded

Preheat the oven to the broiler setting.

Rub the olive oil onto the two slices of bread. Place the slices on a baking sheet. Top one of the slices with the goat cheese. Bake in oven for only 2-4 minutes. Keep an eye on the bread, as the broiler setting goes fast. Once the cheese is bubbly, remove the pan from the oven. Spread the strawberry jam over the melted cheese and top with arugula. Place the other slice of sourdough bread on top and cut in half.

Oregon Growers Marionberry Jam with Brie Cheese on Rye

2 slices of rye bread

2 tablespoons of Oregon Growers Marionberry Jam

1 teaspoon of olive oil

2 ounces of brie cheese

Preheat the oven to the broiler setting.

Rub the olive oil onto the two slices of bread. Place the slices on a baking sheet. Top one of the slices with brie cheese. Bake in the oven for only 2-4 minutes. Keep an eye on the bread, you want the cheese to be melted and bubbly. Remove the pan from the oven and spread the marionberry jam over the melted Brie cheese. Place the other slice of rye bread on top and cut in half.

Oregon Growers Pear & Hazelnut Jam with Gorgonzola and Caramelized Onions on French Bread

2 slices of french bread

2 tablespoons of Oregon Growers Pear and Hazelnut Jam

1 teaspoon of olive oil

2 ounces of gorgonzola cheese

½ of onion, sliced

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of butter

Preheat the oven to the broiler setting.

In a medium pan, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, and cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once golden, remove and set aside.

Rub the olive oil onto the two slices of bread. Place the slices on a baking sheet. Top one of the slices with gorgonzola cheese. Bake in the oven for 2-4 minutes, keeping an eye on the bread, making sure to melt the cheese and not burn the bread. Remove from the oven. Spread the pear and hazelnut jam over the melted gorgonzola cheese. Top with caramelized onions and add second slice of bread. Cut in half and serve.
